Now, pay electricity bills through a secure and trusted mobile app like iMobile Pay, a payment and banking solution platform launched by ICICI Bank. Here’s how you can do it:

 

Today, people are largely dependent on mobile devices for online transactions, like recharging mobile phones to shopping for groceries and even ordering food. All of this is made possible by using simple UPI-enabled mobile apps. This holds true even for electricity bills, which can be conveniently paid through ICICI Bank’s UPI-based mobile app called iMobile Pay.

What is the ICICI Bank iMobile Pay app?

This is a specially designed payment and Mobile Banking platform that allows you to transfer money from one bank account to another, instantly, using a UPI ID. The best feature of the app being – it isn’t limited only for ICICI Bank customers. You can use iMobile Pay even if you hold a Savings Account with another bank.

Further, it gives you access to a host of new banking features. From applying for a loan or a Credit Card or even open a Savings Account with ICICI Bank, all of it is made possible with iMobile Pay.

How can you pay your electricity bill using iMobile Pay?

In order to start using the application, available freely on Google Play and App Store, you need to link your Savings Account to the app, irrespective of the bank.

Let’s understand how can you pay your electricity bill using the iMobile Pay app:

Step 1: Download the iMobile Pay app from Google Play/App Store

Step 2: Log in to the iMobile Pay app using the PIN or fingerprint

Step 3: On the ‘Bill Payments and Recharge’, click on ‘Electricity Bill’

Step 4: Click on ‘New Provider Search’

Step 5: Enter the provider’s name and once you locate the biller, select the name from the drop-down.

Step 6: Click on ‘Continue’

Step 7: Enter the registered details with your provider, such as consumer number, name and others

Step 8: Click on ‘Fetch my Bill’, where you will see the electricity bill details

Step 9: Click on ‘Continue’

Step 10: Pre-confirm the details once and click on ‘Confirm’ for successful bill payment

To ensure that you do not miss out on paying your electricity bills, you can now set reminders with the ‘Fetch’ functionality, which will give you notifications to pay your bills on time, every month. iMobile Pay makes it easier to make bill payments on-the-go.
