Who all are eligible to apply for FXOnline? How does one register on the platform?

Customers maintaining their Current Account i.e. sole proprietorships, partnerships (both registered and non-registered), private and public companies, Hindu undivided families, Full Fledged Money Changers (FFMCs) with ICICI Bank as well as those who are routing their trade transactions (including remittances) through ICICI Bank are eligible to apply for FXOnline. Non-registered partnership firms are allowed to book only CASH, TOM & SPOT transactions. This product is also offered to local and international banks.

To register on FXOnline:

  • CIB (Corporate Internet Banking) users can raise a registration request through the FX onboarding portal under ‘Treasury Services’

  • Non-CIB users can mail the soft copy of their application form through their registered e-mail ID to their Markets Group representative and to the FX Master team at fxmaster@icicibank.com.

What are the various settlement types?

The various settlement types are:

  • CASH: T+0 - Settlement on the same day
  • TOM: T+1 - Settlement on the next business day
  • SPOT: T+2 - Settlement on the second business day.

Forward: Forwards are available either with a single maturity option or with a time window of 30 calendar days.

I don't have access to Forward Limits. How do I book Forward Deals?

Please contact your Markets Group representative for completing the necessary formalities. Once the Forward Limit is set, you can book Forward Deals through FXOnline.

I have booked a Forward Deal incorrectly and wish to cancel the same. What is the process to cancel the Deal?

For the cancellation of any Forward Deal before the maturity date, the Customer can click on the ‘Action’ button under the ‘Deal Blotter’ option and cancel any pre-existing Deal booked via FXOnline.

I had faced an issue while booking the Deal and the Deal ID was not generated in the process. What should I do?

Please check the Deal history or reach out to your Markets Group representative to confirm if the Deal was booked or not. Do not book any additional Deal without receiving a confirmation from the Bank.

There was an error / a network issue / a session logout error while booking the Deal on FXOnline / CIB / TOL / InstaBIZ due to which the Deal ID was not generated. What should I do?

Please check the Deal history before booking any additional Deal. You can reach out to your Markets Group representative to confirm whether the Deal was booked or not. Attempting to book a transaction multiple times will lead to duplication that will result in cancellation loss.

What if somebody misuses my user ID and password?

If you suspect the misuse of your FXOnline ID, please contact your Markets Group representative. Please remember that you are responsible for all the Deals that are being booked through your user ID. You are advised to keep your Account details secure and change your password on a regular basis.

What is the process after I submit the application form?

On successful registration on the platform, you will receive an e-mail with your user ID and password. After you receive your password, you will be asked to log in to https://fxonline.icicibank.com and change the password.

I have submitted the form but have not received the password?

Please reach out to your Markets Group representative.

What are the minimum system requirements?

The minimum requirements to use FXOnline platform are:

Processor – 1.2 GHz, Memory – 4GB RAM, Java version 1.8.0_121, OS - Windows 2010, Google Chrome browser - 114.0.5735.199 or later versions. 

I cannot take a printout of the Deal Ticket. What should I do?

Navigate to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site settings > Content > Pop-up and Redirects. Select the option- ‘Sites can send pop-ups and use redirects’ under ‘Default Behaviour’. 

I could not log in. Instead, I got the message ‘Invalid credentials’ or ‘Your Account is locked. What should I do?

You must have entered the wrong password. Please enter the correct password. Entering the incorrect password thrice consecutively locks your Account. If you do not remember the password, please click on the ‘Trouble Logging In’ tab. An e-mail will be sent to you to reset the password. If your Account is locked, please contact your Markets Group representative.

I had booked a Deal but forgot to take a printout of the ticket. What should I do? Can I view it in the transaction history? Can I get a report of all my transactions?

Yes, you can go to the ‘Deal History’ tab and retrieve the transaction data you need. You can also take a printout of all your Deals.

I have booked an FX transaction via FXOnline but cannot see the Deal number in Trade Online / Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) / InstaBIZ. What should I do?

Any Deal booked on FXOnline will be reflected on InstaBIZ, Trade Online or Corporate Internet Banking after 15 minutes from the time of Deal booking. If you are still unable to see the Deal ID, please contact your Markets Group representative.

I cannot view the Deals booked via InstaBIZ / CIB / Trade Online. What should I do?

All the deals booked via InstaBIZ / Trade Online / CIB can be viewed under the ‘Deal History’ tab on FXOnline. In case of any concern, please reach out to Markets Group representative.  

Do I have to inform my Branch after booking a Deal?

If you wish to settle the remittance through the Branch, please provide the Deal details to the Branch representative. You can also settle the remittance through Trade Online, Corporate Internet Banking or InstaBIZ.
