Asian Banker Awards - ICICI Bank continues to be the ‘Best Retail Bank’ in India

ICICI Bank has been adjudged the 'Best Retail Bank in India' at ‘The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services International Awards, 2021’. This is the eighth year in a row that the Bank has won this award.

The Bank has emerged a winner in two other categories among all Asian banks. They are: 'Best Automobile/Car Loan Product' and 'Best Digital Customer Ecosystem Initiative/Application'.

Over 250 banks and non-bank retail financial service providers from over 30 countries participated in the awards programme, which was organised by Asian Banker, a Singapore-based financial magazine.

ICICI Bank has won the 'Best Retail Bank in India' award for showing its resilience amidst the pandemic by gathering strong retail revenue growth for the year, mentioned Asian Banker, in the citation that was handed over to the Bank, along with a trophy. "The Bank also made significant improvements in the return on equity and cost-to-income ratio and has seen the highest expansion in the consumer finance portfolio." added the citation.

The Bank has also received an award in the 'Best Automobile/Car Loan Product' category for its Insta Auto Loan, a first-of-its-kind initiative. ICICI Bank "leverages digital capability and data analytics to achieve frictionless end-to-end customer journey. The Bank leads in customer experience," according to Asian Banker.

Additionally, ICICI Bank has won an award in the 'Best Digital Customer Ecosystem Initiative/Application' category for BizCircle GlobalLinker, as it "solidified its position with its AI powered platform to digitally empower MSME customers to help them grow", Asian Banker commented.

The awards and citations were presented at a virtual ceremony on Jun 03, 2021.
